EVBAT
Sustainable and Energy Efficient Battery Solutions for the RIS EV Market
About the Project
EVBAT aims to revolutionize electric mobility by upscaling HYBA's lightweight, swappable power unit, the POD. This innovative technology eliminates charging time by enabling users to instantly replace discharged batteries with fully charged ones. The project meets the need of the battery sector demonstrating a sustainable by design process and batteries for two-wheelers saving up to 30% of CO2 in the battery value chain. The modular battery system is key to reduce carbon footprint in the battery and power industry, and to foster a circular economy. Within the project, the swapping battery system will be integrated in a motorcycle developed by Vent Moto, demonstrating the technology in a real world application paving the way for commercialisation. LEVOX will develop scalable and user-friendly battery swapping and management solutions to enhance user experience and facilitate maintenance and long battery lifetime. RTU will assess environmental sustainability of the solution and establish guidelines for carbon credits issuance, leveraging its low-carbon and resource-efficient design. To ensure strong visibility and impact, SE&C IKE will lead communication and dissemination activities, engaging stakeholders and raising awareness among the wider public.
